JOB
The Building Inspector inspects all phases of residential, commercial, and industrial construction work for compliance with applicable codes and ordinances.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
- Inspects all phases of residential, commercial and industrial construction;

Performs electrical, mechanical, plumbing, gas, footing, slab, setback, limited fire/life safety, Americans with Disabilities (ADA), and structural inspections for compliance with applicable building codes and zoning regulations;

Reviews construction plans, including schematic building and site drawings to ensure compliance with building, electrical, plumbing, gas, mechanical, limited fire, parking, emergency egress, ADA, and other applicable codes and ordinances;

Maintains files of inspections, re-inspections, notes, and required reports;
