Responsibilities
- Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including restorations, extractions, oral surgery, orthodontics, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment according to infection prevention management protocols.
- Take dental x-rays and 3D scans
- Manage patient records accurately using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Patterson Imaging and MOGO
- Educate patients on oral health care, post-treatment instructions, and preventive practices to promote optimal dental health.
- Monitor vital signs and assist in medical documentation during appointments as needed for comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment by following dental sterilization procedures and infection control standards aligned with healthcare infection prevention and control expertise.
Requirements
- Proficient English
- Comfortable with computer use.
- Certification in radiography (X-ray license)
- Basic knowledge of dental terminology, equipment, instruments, and procedures.
- Familiarity with X-ray techniques, dental sterilization procedures, and aseptic technique.
- Basic understanding of oral anatomy and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
- Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining excellent patient care.
- Excellent communication skills combined with a positive attitude to foster a welcoming environment for patients of all ages.

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
