Medical Assistant
Busy, patient-focused plastic surgery practice seeking a motivated Medical Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to be involved in both clinical care and the patient experience from consultation through surgery and follow-up.
Responsibilities include:
- Answering phones and assisting with patient communication
- Preparing patient charts, documents, and clinic schedules for the day
- Preparing and stocking exam, pre-op, and procedure rooms daily
- Patient intake for consultations and follow-up visits
- Chaperoning during consultation exams and documenting findings as needed
- Assisting with patient follow-up and coordination of care
- Assisting with the coordination and preparation of surgical cases
- Assisting providers with in-office aesthetic treatments and procedures
- Maintaining proper sterile technique and infection control standards
- Supporting overall clinical workflow to ensure an efficient and welcoming patient experience
Qualifications:
- Medical Assistant certification preferred, but not required
- Experience in plastic surgery or cosmetic dermatology preferred, but not required
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Professional, compassionate demeanor with patients
- Understanding of sterile technique and standard clinical procedures
