Field Service Representative AMPV

Schedule: Full-Time
Travel: Extensive travel to military installations, including short-notice assignments
Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Field Service Representative (FSR) to support the Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle (AMPV) platform. This role provides onsite technical support, troubleshooting, maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and inspections to ensure vehicle readiness for military customers.
The ideal candidate has experience working with tracked military vehicles, heavy equipment, diesel systems, or automotive maintenance and is comfortable troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and integrated vehicle systems.
Key Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, HVAC, automotive, power management, weapons, and fire control systems
- Perform vehicle inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and Modification Work Orders (MWOs)
- Diagnose issues involving tracked vehicle powerplants, electrical systems, remote weapon stations, and other integrated subsystems
- Support AMPV vehicle fielding and maintenance activities at military installations
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and specifications
- Use diagnostic equipment including digital volt/ohm meters, oscilloscopes, diagnostic software, and TMDE
- Document repairs, technical findings, and recommended corrective actions
- Safely operate hand and power tools, lifting equipment, slings, chains, and specialized test equipment
- Travel extensively to customer locations, including assignments with limited advance notice
Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED
- 35+ years of experience as a Field Service Representative, heavy equipment/mobile mechanic, automotive technician, diesel mechanic, or similar role
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Experience servicing tracked military vehicles, heavy equipment, powertrains, or complex vehicle systems
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and maintenance documentation
- Familiarity with the U.S. Army Maintenance System or dealership maintenance systems
- Strong computer, documentation, and technical reporting skills
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively
Preferred Qualifications

6+ years of field service, diesel, heavy equipment, or vehicle maintenance experience
- Previous experience supporting armored or tracked military vehicles
- Dealership technician, vehicle inspection, or quality assurance experience
- Military vehicle maintenance background, particularly MOS experience such as 91M, 91A, 91P, 91B, 63T, 63M, 63E, 63D, 63B, 63S, 45T, 45E, or 45D
- Automotive or diesel technical degree
- ASE certifications, OEM training, or military technical training
- Active Secret Security Clearance preferred
