Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide personalized assistance to help them find products suited to their needs
- Educate customers about different cannabis strains, consumption methods, and product effects through engaging product demos
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Upsell products by recommending complementary items and informing customers about ongoing promotions to enhance their experience
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked with fresh, appealing products
- Conduct inventory checks, stock replenishment, and assist with merchandising to optimize sales opportunities
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when handling inquiries or scheduling appointments, ensuring clear communication at all times
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales or customer service experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar environments
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership and team coordination skills
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain product details clearly and confidently
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and POS operations
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking procedures, and product demos to engage customers effectively
- Familiarity with sales techniques such as upselling and promoting products to maximize revenue
