POSITION DESCRIPTION
POSITION TITLE: PT Housekeeper
DEPARTMENT: Transportation/Monitor/Housekeeping
REPORTS TO: Facility Manager
Position Function and Scope: Perform housekeeping duties in the dormitory and throughout the facility to ensure highest standards of cleanliness and service. Responsible for reporting any maintenance deficiencies and handling client requests. Ensures the confidentiality and security of all client rooms. Be familiar with all ARCA services to respond to client inquiries accurately. Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with department policies, services, procedures and standards. Use correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces, according to OSHA regulations and ARCA requirements.
Typical Qualifications and Experience:
- Must have a High School diploma or GED.
- Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques and methods.
- Knowledge of cleaning sensitive materials
- Working knowledge of operating cleaning equipment.
- Physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel and bend.
- Ability to lift, push and pull required load (usually about 30 lbs.)
- Must perform duties with a sense of urgency.
- Position requires good communication skills – both oral and written.
- Must be computer literate.
Description of Duties:
- Clean showers, toilets, sinks, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters and floor surfaces.
- Adhere to cleaning procedures and instructions for use of cleaning agents.
- Strip beds and lift mattresses weighing up to 30 pounds.
- Dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves thoroughly.
- Clean refrigerators and microwave ovens.
- Restock cleaning carts and all other products when appropriate.
- Fill out and submit all documentation required, including receipts or documents to appropriate staff.
- Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of ARCA’s policies, safety rules and regulations.
- Be familiar with PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) and SDS (Safety Date Sheet).
- Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience.
- Report any client non-compliance to ARCA policies, in writing, to management or nursing staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
