American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Long-Term Care/Skilled Nursing Facility (LTC/SNF) travel position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active ME or compact RN license.

Work setting is a skilled nursing facility (SNF) with a 54-bed unit serving skilled and long-term care patients, including those with dementia
-
Evening shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
-
10-week contract
-
Every other weekend required (8-hour shifts)
-
No on-call requirements
-
Floating required between both hallways on the same level of care, with a 25-mile float policy between facilities as needed
-
Equipment used includes total lifts, sit-to-stand lifts, Doppler, EKG, IV lines, and feeding tubes

EMR: PCC and Epic
-
Active RN license (Maine or Compact) currently in hand — pending licenses are not accepted
-
Minimum 2 years of LTC/SNF RN experience required

BLS certification required (AHA preferred; non-AHA accepted but AHA must be completed before start date)

IV certification preferred

Driver's License required for consideration

2 professional references required for consideration

SSN and DOB required for consideration

Provide nursing care to a skilled and long-term care patient population, which may include patients with dementia

Scrubs required; no specific color requirement

Personal electronic devices, including AirPods, laptops, and cell phones, are prohibited on the unit

Candidates residing within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility (Maine or New Hampshire residents) are considered local candidates
-
Local candidates are not eligible for contract renewals or extensions

Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months should disclose this

RTO should be kept to a minimum; approximately 3–4 days is considered reasonable for the contract length, at manager's discretion
