COMPENSATION
This position is full-time and includes a variety of hands-on nursery and logistics compensation: $19-$21 a hour with a 90 day probationary period
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Load Landscape Crews: Assist with loading plants, materials, and equipment for landscape crews each morning. Ensure accuracy, efficiency, and safe handling.
- Nursery Inspections: Inspect nursery inventory for quality, health, and readiness. Monitor plant conditions and report any issues.
- Job Staging & Organization: Consolidate and organize plant materials for upcoming projects. Maintain clean and efficient staging areas.
- Hand Watering: Perform regular watering of nursery stock using hoses and irrigation systems. Monitor plant hydration and adjust watering based on weather conditions.
- Incoming Deliveries: Support the receiving process by unloading trucks, verifying delivery contents, inspecting plants and materials for quality and accuracy, and organizing inventory in the proper nursery locations. Report any shortages or damaged materials.
- Waste Management: Manage and dispose of nursery and yard waste responsibly while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Irrigation System Maintenance: Oversee the nursery irrigation system year-round by performing routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and adjustments to ensure proper operation.
- Irrigation Repairs: Respond to irrigation system breaks within the nursery and perform repairs using both PVC and poly irrigation systems. In emergency situations, weekend work may be required to restore operations.
- Cross-Functional Support: Transition between nursery operations and irrigation responsibilities throughout the day based on business needs.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to regularly lift 50–70 pounds.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of productivity.
- Heavy equipment experience is required, with skid steer experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to operate loaders, tractors, and other nursery equipment safely.
- Flexibility to support both nursery operations and irrigation work as daily priorities change.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends for emergency irrigation repairs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior experience in landscaping, nursery operations, or horticulture.
- Experience with irrigation systems is a plus; on-the-job irrigation training will be provided.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Attention to detail with a positive, team-oriented attitude

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
