Engage60 is a Nashville-based technology company building the “TikTok of News” — a new way for people to discover and understand what's happening in the world through short-form content.
Over the past 11 months, we've taken Engage60 from an idea to a fully built civic news app that we're preparing to launch nationwide.
Now we're looking for the person who can help take it from Nashville to nationwide.
The Opportunity
We're looking for a Founding Head of Viral Growth & Creator Strategy to build and own Engage60's entire viral growth engine.
This is not a traditional social-media job.
We're looking for someone who understands:
Why does one video get 500 views while another gets 5 million?
Someone who knows creators.
Someone who understands Gen Z.
Someone who sees trends before everyone else.
Someone who knows how to turn an idea into something people can't stop sharing.
Your mission is simple:Make Engage60 one of the most talked-about new consumer apps in America.What You'll Own
You will build and lead our growth strategy across:
- TikTok
- Instagram Reels
- YouTube Shorts
- X
- Creator partnerships
- Influencer campaigns
- UGC
- Short-form video
- Viral content
- PR and earned media
- Creator recruitment
- Community growth
- Ambassador programs
- Referral campaigns
- Launch campaigns
- Strategic partnerships
- Growth experiments
- Content analytics
- Trend identification
You'll build the systems that can turn one great idea into hundreds of pieces of content and millions of impressions.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for a builder, not a social-media coordinator.
You should have a demonstrated ability to:
- Create content that gets shared
- Build or grow social audiences
- Develop viral content formats
- Understand short-form storytelling
- Identify trends early
- Build relationships with creators
- Work with influencers
- Understand Gen Z behavior
- Experiment quickly
- Read analytics and improve content
- Turn successful experiments into repeatable systems

- Grown an account to 100K+ or 1M+ followers
- Generated millions of organic views
- Helped launch a consumer app
- Worked with major creators
- Worked in news, politics, media, entertainment, or consumer technology
- Built a creator network from scratch
- Helped a startup achieve rapid organic growth

- Recruit creators

Days 61–90 — Build the Machine
- Double down on winning formats
- Scale creator partnerships
- Develop major launch campaigns
- Establish measurable growth targets
- Build a repeatable user-acquisition system
- Create a long-term viral growth strategy

We want to see:
Millions of organic views.
Thousands of people talking about Engage60.
Creators actively using and promoting the platform.
Rapidly growing social audiences.

A recognizable consumer brand.

Compensation
This is a founding-team opportunity structured around the success of Engage60.
Before the Seed Round
- Equity
- No cash salary until the Seed Round is successfully raised

After the $4.65M Seed Round
Once our $4.65M Seed Round closes, this position transitions into a fully compensated, full-time leadership role with:
- Full-time salary

- The opportunity to help build and lead Engage60's growth organization
We're looking for someone who is willing to bet on themselves and build alongside us now, with the expectation of transitioning into a fully compensated leadership role after the financing closes.
This is not a freelance social-media position.
You're joining as the person responsible for building Engage60's entire viral growth and creator engine.
