Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs on powertrain components, including engines, transmissions, and vehicle suspension systems, ensuring all work meets safety standards.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for repairs, maintenance, and installations across various vehicle systems.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams to troubleshoot electrical problems and implement effective solutions.
- Repair and maintain vehicle suspension systems, perform wheel alignments, and ensure proper vehicle handling.
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and other complex mechanical systems with precision.
- Follow dealership or service center procedures for auto estimating, parts ordering, and documenting all repair work thoroughly.
Requirements
- Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair.
- Hands-on experience with ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) calibration and troubleshooting.
- Solid understanding of schematics interpretation, automotive wiring diagrams, and electrical systems.
- Mechanical knowledge of powertrain components, vehicle transmission systems, and suspension system repairs.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive service equipment.
- Ability to work efficiently on GM vehicles or similar makes; experience with diesel engine repair is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills combined with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Valid mechanic certification or relevant technical training; ASE certification is preferred.
