The ideal candidate will have a background in the food industry and be fluent in English in order to be able to take orders. As a Pizza and Sandwich Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking pizzas to perfection while adhering to food safety standards and maintaining a clean kitchen environment.
Duties
- Prepare pizza dough, sauces, and toppings according to established recipes and standards.
- Cook pizzas in a timely manner, ensuring that they are baked to perfection.
- Make sandwiches according to established recipes and standards.
- Take orders from customers (over the phone and walk-ins). Must speak English.
- Use POS systems and take cash payments.
- Assist with meal preparation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest quality of food is served.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs to management.
Requirements
- Previous kitchen experience, particularly in pizza and/or sandwich preparation or cooking.
- Must be punctual and reliable.
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety practices.
- Great customer service skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with others.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- A passion for cooking and creativity in menu planning is highly desirable.
