Medical Coder

Full-Time | $25-$27/hour (based on experience)

We are partnering with a well-established, growing healthcare practice in Savannah seeking a skilled coding professional to join its team. Schedule
- Monday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Tuesday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Compensation
- $25-$27 per hour, depending on experience
Responsibilities
- Review provider documentation to ensure accurate code assignment.
- Assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes in accordance with coding guidelines.
- Verify coding accuracy and maintain compliance with payer and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and resolve coding discrepancies and documentation issues.
- Collaborate with providers and office staff to improve documentation quality.
- Assist with claim reviews and support reimbursement optimization.
- Stay current on coding updates, payer regulations, and industry best practices.
- Support revenue cycle operations and other coding-related initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of medical coding experience preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
- CPC, CCS, or equivalent coding certification preferred.
- Experience coding for a physician practice is highly preferred.
- Understanding of insurance guidelines, medical necessity, and reimbursement methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Medical billing experience is a plus.
