Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Food Runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that food and beverages are delivered promptly and accurately to guests, enhancing their dining experience. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for customer service.
Duties
- Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to guests in a timely manner.
- Assist servers by ensuring that all orders are accurate and complete before delivery.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service area, including bussing tables and resetting them for new guests.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy service periods.
- Adhere to food safety standards and proper handling procedures at all times.
- Support the team during peak hours by assisting with food preparation and other kitchen duties as needed.
- Provide exceptional guest services by responding promptly to requests and inquiries.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with food handling, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations is essential.
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Background in banquet service or hotel hospitality can be beneficial.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are required.
