JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Clinical Supervisor/Nursing Supervisor oversees the coordination, quality, and delivery of patient care services in a home health or healthcare setting. Reporting to the Clinical Director, this role provides clinical leadership and support to nursing staff, ensures compliance with care standards, reviews patient cases and care plans, supports staff development, and assists with quality assurance, policy implementation, and regulatory compliance while promoting collaboration and excellent patient care.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
Review and evaluate each case by assessing services provided by clinicians, conducting conferences and record reviews, discussing and verifying clinical impressions, and instructing and guiding clinicians to promote effective performance and the delivery of quality home care services while remaining available during operating hours to assist clinicians as appropriate.
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule, providing seven-day coverage to support clinical staff, address patient care needs, and ensure continuity and quality of services.
Assist in the formulation, revision, implementation, and evaluation of policies, procedures, strategic goals, and organizational objectives.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Two years management or supervisory experience within the past five years in a home health agency, primary care clinic, or health facility, unless the individual has been previously approved for such employment by a program flexibility issued for the individual’s current position at the home health agency prior to April 1, 1995.
