New Challenges, Inc. specializes in providing comprehensive services to adults with disabilities, mental illness, and brain injuries within small two Assisted Living locations in the south and east metro area. Our dedicated team performs essential direct care services, including medication administration, assistance with activities of daily living, transportation, and social engagement to promote independence and well-being. This position is in person. This is a full-time position, requiring on-call availability for emergency support.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert oversight of nursing services, ensuring the delivery of personalized care plans aligned with residents’ needs and preferences.
- Supervise unlicensed personnel.
- Manage clinical documentation review, medical records, and ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations for confidentiality and privacy.
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update care plans.
- Compliance with all licensing rules and regulations including completing assessments and other licensing requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Medicare requirements.
- Lead staff training.
- Attend, participate and follow up on appointments.
- Complete injections for individuals served.
- Set up medications for residents bi-weekly.
- Respond to emergency calls, support locations as needed.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology essential for effective patient assessment and diagnostic evaluation.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities in settings like memory care or residential settings.
- Excellent communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach to patient-centered care.
All applicants must have current MN RN licensure, pass a background study and driving record review.
