Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight across diverse routes with energy and precision! In this vital role, you will operate tractor-trailers and specialized vehicles, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, ensuring timely and safe deliveries. Your expertise in over-the-road (OTR) driving routes, logistics cargo handling, and compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations will keep our operations running smoothly. Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles to transport freight over long-distance routes, including OTR driving routes.
- Load and unload cargo with manual handling techniques, ensuring proper securing of freight such as hazardous materials, dangerous goods, or refrigerated goods.
- Navigate using GPS systems accurately to meet delivery schedules while adhering to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Manage delivery documentation meticulously, including logs for hours of service, load manifests, and delivery receipts.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route changes, delays, or issues during transit.
- Maintain a high standard of safety by following hazardous materials regulations and truck driving best practices at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving.
- Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and automobile transportation is preferred.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and hazard communication standards.
- Ability to handle manual transmission trucks and perform manual handling tasks safely.
- Experience with GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning.
- Strong understanding of truck loading/unloading procedures and logistics cargo handling protocols.
