Quakertown Veterinary Clinic is seeking compassionate and dependable Veterinary Assistants to join our small animal team. We are hiring for both daytime and overnight positions in our 24-hour veterinary hospital.
This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with animals in a fast-paced clinical environment and are interested in supporting both routine and emergency veterinary care.
Responsibilities may include:

Assisting veterinarians and veterinary technicians during exams and treatments

Safely handling and restraining animals

Performing basic laboratory tasks and collecting samples

Administering medications as directed by a veterinarian

Preparing and maintaining treatment and surgical areas

Taking radiographs under supervision

Filling prescriptions and processing refill requests

Entering patient information and charges into the hospital database

Communicating professionally with clients and team members
Full-time and part-time positions are available.
Schedules may include:

Day, evening, or overnight shifts

Weekends
-
Holidays
-
Rotating on-call shifts, depending on department needs
Preferred qualifications include:

Previous experience working with animals or in a veterinary setting

Strong communication and customer service skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Applicants should be able to:

Lift up to 40 pounds regularly

Assist with lifting larger animals with team support
