Job Summary

Duties
- Assist in menu planning by preparing ingredients and following established recipes to ensure consistent quality and presentation
- Prepare, cook, and serve meals according to safety standards, dietary guidelines, and customer preferences
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, slicers, knives, and other culinary tools safely and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by cleaning utensils, appliances, workstations, and adhering to sanitation protocols
- Handle food with proper hygiene practices, including food handling procedures to prevent contamination
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and delivery schedules
- Support catering events or special meal requests by preparing appropriate dishes in a timely manner
Skills
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food industry standards
- Knowledge of menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal presentation
- Skilled in operating various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Excellent knife skills with slicing techniques for precision cutting and food prep
- Familiarity with food safety management practices and safety standards in production environments
- Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining high-quality food handling practices
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with kitchen staff and other team members
- Experience in catering or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Understanding of food safety protocols, including proper cleaning procedures and sanitation practices
