Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Concrete Coating Specialist to join our construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality concrete coatings to various surfaces, ensuring durability, aesthetic appeal, and compliance with project specifications. Duties
- Prepare concrete surfaces by cleaning, grinding, and repairing to ensure optimal adhesion of coatings
- Mix and apply various concrete coatings including epoxy, polyurethane, and decorative finishes with precision and consistency
- Operate power tools and heavy equipment safely to facilitate surface preparation and coating application
- Read blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications and ensure accurate coating installation
- Collaborate with team members on rebar installation, formwork setup, and masonry tasks as needed for comprehensive project execution
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the process to guarantee smooth finishes and adherence to safety standards
- Assist in renovation projects by performing plastering, stucco application, caulking, and trim carpentry when required
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on concrete finishing, coating application, or related trades
- Strong mechanical knowledge of hand tools, power tools, heavy lifting equipment, and heavy machinery operation
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and project timelines
- Familiarity with rebar installation, framing carpentry (including metal stud framing), flooring installation, tile laying, and masonry techniques
- Skills in welding, roofing, restoration work, drywall finishing (including plastering), caulking, and stucco application are a plus
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights or confined spaces safely
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred for site transportation needs
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards safety protocols and quality standards
