We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment and a strong understanding of food preparation, handling, and service. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in menu planning and development for special events and catering services.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Handle food safely and efficiently, adhering to proper food handling procedures.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to the kitchen manager.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a cook in a restaurant or catering environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and menu planning.
- Strong understanding of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
