Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, fryers, and slicers
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen tools in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist with food prep tasks such as slicing, dicing, and portioning ingredients using proper knife skills and slicing techniques
- Support menu planning by ensuring ingredient availability and freshness for daily service
- Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely delivery of orders
- Follow all safety standards in production, handling food safely, and maintaining a hygienic work environment
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred
- Demonstrated culinary experience with strong knife skills and food preparation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production
- Experience operating various kitchen equipment safely and effectively
- Ability to communicate clearly with kitchen staff and team members to ensure smooth operations
- Familiarity with dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus but not required
- Strong attention to detail in recipe adherence, meal preparation, and cleaning routines
