Role:
The Supply Chain Supervisor will support the day-to-day execution of GlobalOne Pet’s purchasing, inbound logistics, inventory, item management, compliance, and reporting processes. The successful candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities across purchasing, warehouse coordination, compliance, and data reporting. This person will report directly to the Vice President of Operations and Finance.
Responsibilities:
Purchasing:
1. Analyze and provide inventory purchase recommendations to management based on lead times and production MOQs.
2. Generate and execute purchase orders and all specifications to ensure on-time delivery.
3. Process receipt of inbound materials to include invoice documentation and execute accruals as needed.
4. Supply documents needed to execute export orders.
5. Work with external warehouses on inbound product movement and costs charged for inbound and storage.
6. Create new reporting and tracking processes to ensure management has accurate and useful information.
Inventory & Logistics:
1. Manage all aspects of the day-to-day inventory, including inventory and assembly builds.
2. Provide routine vendor specific reports to management to track inventory status.
3. Understand inventory turnover and make recommendations on ways to improve product turnover.
4. Review and assessment of freight movement for cost and execution
Item Setup, Packaging & Compliance:
1. Maintain new product development (NPD) tracking sheets and item specification sheets.
2. Maintain the master item list, including item numbers, UPCs, and component/bag part numbers, and keep item specifications current as changes occur.
3. Maintain and update product state registrations across all applicable states, customers, and brands, including tracking renewal deadlines.
4. Coordinate outside lab testing requirements for retail customers as needed.
5. Maintain and update supplier documentation and Food Safety (FSVP) records.
6. Coordinate internal and supplier artwork proofing, routing proofs to marketing for approval.
7. Support cross-functional product testing and nutrition-labeling projects in partnership with Sales, Marketing, and outside labs.
Qualifications:
1. Associate or Bachelors degree in business, supply chain, logistics, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
2. 1-3 years of experience in purchasing, inventory, logistics, or supply chain administration; candidates with QuickBooks or ERP experience are encouraged to apply.
3. Strong attention to detail and accuracy when managing purchase orders, inventory records, and compliance documentation.
4. Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple ongoing priorities.
5. Strong written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with vendors, warehouses, and internal teams.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with QuickBooks or similar ERP/accounting systems is a plus.
