Reliant Finishing Systems is a capital equipment manufacturer located in North Alabama. We manufacture industrial ovens, paint booths, blast enclosures, and related equipment for powder coating, industrial painting, and similar operations.
The successful candidate for this position will travel the United States and Canada commissioning our systems in the field. They will also answer service calls and assist with technical support from our office in Somerville, Alabama.
Requirements :
- Attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and work with many personality types
- Ability to travel for several days at a time each month
- Moderate computer skills. Ability to use email, CRM systems, Microsoft Word, etc.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on ladders and lifts
- Basic understanding of electrical circuits
- Positive customer relationship skills
- Familiarity with tablets and/or smart phones
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong critical thinking
Responsibilities:
- The technician is responsible for learning and applying technical skills to support complex capital equipment while providing 5-star customer service. Some of the primary responsibilities are outlined below:
- Traveling within the contiguous United States and Canada to capital equipment installation sites to provide calibration and start-up.
- Answering and resolving incoming calls involving technical issues with capital equipment.
- Taking comprehensive notes regarding information provided by customers and then troubleshooting their issues to resolution.
- Documenting steps taken to resolve customer issues via extensive note taking and reporting.
- Responding to emergency service requests by quickly mobilizing to visit installation sites.
- Inspecting equipment, diagnosing problems, and performing equipment repair during routine service visits.
- When not on the road, will be expected to answer service calls and assist with technical support via phone.
