Job Description
We are excited to offer a position as a Medical Assistant for a vascular surgery and general surgery practice in Daly City and San Francisco.
This is a unique position for someone who wants to work with all aspects of a medical practice, including direct patient care, scheduling, insurance logistics, medical records, and assisting with office-based procedures.
You do not have to be medically trained, but you must be sharp, resourceful, energetic, organized, and able to juggle a wide range of duties in a sometimes busy office. This is a position for someone with common sense, good judgment, and the ability to learn quickly.

This is a full-time job with some flexibility.

We are a small, fun, and supportive office where everyone works together as a team. Our goal is simple: take good care of our patients and keep the office running smoothly.
We see a wide range of patients, from older patients and patients with serious medical problems, including dialysis access needs, to patients seeking cosmetic vein treatments and medspa-type services. This makes the work varied, interesting, and different from a typical medical office job.
Requirements
- Must be fluent in Cantonese
- Some days can be fast-paced, so you must be able to multitask and prioritize
- Must be able to work at Seton Medical Center in Daly City and UCSF Stanyan Campus in San Francisco
- Must have common business sense, good judgment, and initiative
- Medical office experience is helpful but not required
Main Job Duties
- Patient check-in, rooming, and obtaining vital signs
- Answering phones, scheduling, and setting up procedures
- Insurance eligibility checks, referrals, and authorizations
- Setting up and assisting with office-based surgical procedures
- Educating patients on treatment basics
- Preparing patients for surgeries and procedures
- Maintaining treatment rooms and inventory
- Inputting records into the medical record system
- Helping with day-to-day office operations as needed
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
