Job Overview
We are seeking experienced CDL Class A drivers for daily freight operations throughout the Greater Chicagoland area. Most routes operate within a 100-mile local radius, supporting home-daily schedules and potential ELD exemption eligibility. Typical shifts range from 10–12 hours. Start times range from 10am, 2pm, and 5pm (part-time)
As a CDL Class A Local Truck Driver, you will operate across the Chicagoland region, delivering freight safely and efficiently on a variety of local routes. This role plays a key part in our logistics operation, ensuring timely deliveries while upholding strong standards of safety, professionalism, and reliability. Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Drive route-specific deliveries within the Chicagoland area, adhering to schedules and traffic laws.
- Manage delivery documentation accurately and complete all necessary logs and reports.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain a clean driving record and uphold safety protocols at all times during operations.
Experience
- 2 years of experience as a commercial truck driver with a valid CDL Class A license.
- Familiarity with route driving within urban environments such as Chicagoland is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of load & unload procedures and securing freight for transport.
- Ability to handle various types of freight and routes
- Strong commitment to safety standards and DOT compliance throughout all aspects of driving and cargo handling.
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
