Job Overview:
The Supply Chain Specialist Intern will support daily warehouse and supply chain operations, including
inventory management, replenishment coordination, and shipment tracking. This role offers hands-on exposure to end-to-end supply chain processes in a fast-paced distribution environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist with inventory tracking and reconciliation at the Gardena Warehouse
- Support store replenishment planning and transfer order execution
- Monitor inbound and outbound shipments, including ETAs and delivery status
- Help analyze inventory availability, stock levels, and shortages
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (warehouse, logistics, planning, stores)
- Maintain accurate records in ERP/WMS systems (e.g., Heartland or similar)
- Assist with cycle counts, discrepancy investigations, and adjustments
- Prepare basic reports on inventory, fill rates, and transit times
- Support special projects related to process improvement and cost optimization
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in the Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Operations, or related field
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, PivotTables preferred)
- Ability to work in a warehouse/distribution environment
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-up skills
- Good communication skills in a team-based environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous internship or coursework in supply chain or logistics
- Familiarity with ERP, WMS, or inventory systems
- Basic understanding of retail replenishment or distribution operations
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
