Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients across various departments, including critical care units, emergency medicine, pediatrics, and neonatal units. Your expertise will support patient recovery by managing ventilators, performing airway management, and delivering specialized respiratory therapies. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional clinical skills, a strong understanding of physiology, and a commitment to delivering compassionate patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Requirements
- Valid licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from an accredited certifying body.
- Proven experience in hospital medicine with expertise in critical care environments such as ICU or emergency departments.
- Demonstrated proficiency in ventilator management, airway management techniques, and respiratory device operation.
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and pulmonology principles relevant to respiratory therapy.
- Experience working with electronic health records (EHR/EHR) systems for documentation and patient data management.
- Strong skills in patient assessment, vital signs monitoring, and acute care procedures including neonatal resuscitation procedures.
- Ability to respond effectively during cardiac arrest emergencies and perform advanced life support measures.
- Familiarity with hospital protocols related to medication administration and medical equipment safety.
- Outpatient or clinic experience is advantageous but not mandatory; inpatient experience is essential.
- Geriatric and pediatric care experience preferred to support diverse patient needs across hospital settings.
