Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Desired Qualifications:
- Current certification or licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter (such as EIPA, RID, or state credential)
- Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) and in providing interpretation in classroom settings
- Prior experience working with school-age children or in educational settings a plus
- Excellent interpersonal communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to varied assignments and schedules
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret spoken language to ASL (and vice versa) during classroom instruction, assemblies, meetings, and extracurricular activities
- Support students’ understanding of curriculum content, classroom discussions, and social interactions
- Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and Individualized Education Program (IEP) teams
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding student information
- Adapt interpreting techniques to meet individual student needs and learning levels
