Overview
We're looking for a dependable, motivated, and customer-focused Parts Counterperson to join our company. You'll work directly with customers, technicians, and other dealership departments to correctly process orders and transactions. We are looking for someone who communicates clearly, values teamwork, and takes initiative when appropriate to help keep the everyday workings of the Parts Department smooth and organized.

- Automotive dealership experience
- Customer service experience
- Dealertrack DMS experience
Schedule
- Monday-Friday, 7:00am - 5:00pm
- Occasional weekday closing shift: 7:00am - 6:00pm
- One Saturday per Month: 8:00am - 12:00pm
Responsibilities
- Customer Service & Communication
- Greet walk-in customers and answer incoming calls
- Assist customers with parts questions, purchases and special orders
- Use electronic parts catalogs and dealership systems to identify correct parts
- Provide pricing and recommend related or companion parts when appropriate
- Keep customers, technicians and coworkers informed about order status, availability, delays, or other important updates
- Process sales, returns, exchanges, and warranty parts within company and manufacturer guidelines
- Communicate clearly and professionally, even during busy or challenging situations
- Inventory & Parts Management
- Pull, fill, and stage part orders accurately and efficiently
- Receive incoming freight shipments and stock
- Restock shelves and keep the department organized
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with physical inventory counts
- Order out of stock and specialty parts from vendors and/or other dealers
- Ensure parts are properly received, stored, and accounted for
- Teamwork & Dealership Support
- Bill parts to service department repair orders in timely manner
- Work closely with technicians and service writers to identify and supply customer needs
- Notify customers and coworkers when special order parts arrive
- Step in to assist coworkers when needed, especially during busy periods
- Willingness to help with responsibilities outside normal day to day tasks to keep the department running smooth, if applicable
- Contribute to a positive, respectful work environment
Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication in a professional and respectful manner
- Strong customer service skills
- Comfortable working with computers and dealership software
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities during slow and busier periods
- Positive and professional attitude
- Willingness to learn and take initiative as needed
- Be train-able
Compensation & Growth
- Competitive pay starting at: $20 per hour for the first 90 days
