Production Team Leader
Pay Rate: $30.00–$32.00/hour
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Production Team Leader to oversee daily manufacturing operations and lead production employees in a fast-paced environment. This position is responsible for supervising team members, coordinating daily production activities, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring a safe and productive workplace.
The Production Team Leader serves as the primary liaison between production employees and management, providing guidance, resolving issues, and ensuring production goals are achieved efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Assign daily work tasks and communicate production goals at the beginning of each shift.
- Supervise and support production employees to ensure productivity, efficiency, and quality standards are met.
- Monitor key production metrics, including output, downtime, and waste, and report team performance.
- Train, coach, and mentor new and existing employees on equipment operation, quality expectations, and safety procedures.
- Perform initial troubleshooting of production equipment and coordinate with the maintenance team for more complex repairs.
- Lead daily shift meetings to communicate production priorities, safety updates, and operational changes.
- Enforce all workplace safety policies and ensure compliance with company procedures.
- Conduct routine quality inspections and address any product or process deviations.
- Manage team administrative responsibilities, including scheduling, attendance tracking, and timecard approvals.
- Collaborate with supervisors and other departments to maintain efficient workflow and resolve production issues.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent manufacturing experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage daily manufacturing operations.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced production environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

- Experience improving production efficiency and workflow.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and safety regulations.
- Ability to motivate employees, build teamwork, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
