Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems, appliances, and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools; execute repairs efficiently to minimize operational disruptions.
- Repair or replace faulty components in refrigeration units, air conditioning systems, and other mechanical equipment with precision and care.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to troubleshoot complex systems accurately.
- Lead small maintenance projects or assist construction teams during facility upgrades or installations, demonstrating leadership qualities.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used to ensure compliance and facilitate future troubleshooting.
- Respond promptly to emergency repair requests to restore critical systems swiftly while adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, or related fields.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical diagrams confidently.
- Hands-on experience with equipment repair, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems—including air conditioning units—and refrigeration technology is highly desirable.
- Construction experience or familiarity with building systems is a plus for supporting facility upgrades or renovations.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to work independently or guide team members during maintenance tasks.
- Strong communication skills to document work accurately and collaborate effectively with team members.
