Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key qualifications:
- Current New Mexico teaching licensure in Special Education
- High school certification required for SPED High School English and Biology roles
- Experience supporting students with a variety of learning needs, including intensive and resource settings
- Commitment to fostering inclusive classrooms and differentiated instruction
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and educational teams
Responsibilities and expectations:
- Deliver tailored instruction and support to students ranging from Pre-K through high school, with assignments available in high school English, high school Biology, middle school resource, elementary Intensive Learning Center (ILC), and pullout/inclusion environments
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Employ evidence-based strategies and accommodations that promote student independence and achievement
- Maintain thorough documentation and regular progress reporting
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to maximize student success
- Create a safe, positive learning atmosphere that respects diverse learners
