Responsibilities - What you’ll do
MVE seeks an operations leader to oversee production and distribution across 21 factories in 12 correctional facilities statewide, managing a team of Regional Coordinators and a Logistics Coordinator, and driving on-time delivery, quality, and workforce development for our incarcerated-worker program.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee production and distribution across all 21 factories, standardizing procedures for consistency
- Drive on-time delivery above 95% through better scheduling and early delay detection
- Lead 3 Regional Factory Coordinators and 1 Logistics Coordinator
- Optimize deployment of ~1,500 incarcerated workers in partnership with DOC
- Support first-pass quality rates above 97%
- Handle capacity planning and capital investment analysis
- Ensure compliance with DOC security and OSHA safety standards
- Build relationships with facility wardens/DOC staff and coordinate with Customer Experience, Fiscal Management, and Cost Analyst teams
Qualifications - All you need for success
Minimum Qualifications:
Nine or more years of experience in Operations, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field, to include a minimum of five or more years of progressive experience in operations/production management experience. Supervisory or management experience in manufacturing, warehousing, or distribution environments is also required.
(Earned credit hours from an accredited college or university that includes earned credit hours in Operations, Industrial Engineering, Business or related field, may be used to substitute for up to four years of the listed experience – a minimum of five years of progressive experience, and the listed supervisory/management experience is still required)
Must pass background check and obtain DOC facility clearance
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
- Familiarity with production planning and ERP systems
- MBA or Master's in Operations Management
- Experience supervising multiple locations, departments, or teams
- Government/correctional industry experience
- Lean Six Sigma certification
- Experience managing unionized workforces or statewide logistics

Contingent upon your position, you may also be eligible to receive:
- A $2.00 per hour shift differential if you are assigned to a shift that begins on or between 12:00pm (noon) and 5:00am and are employed at a 24/7 congregate care facility (i.e. institution, transition center, supervision center, or command center).
- A $0.75 per hour medium security or $1.50 maximum security differential if you work full-time at a qualifying facility.
- A $1.00 per hour restrictive housing differential if you are assigned a regular post within a restrict housing/segregation unit at any facility.
The Department of Corrections currently offers a guaranteed 1% pay increase for every two years of continuous service up to 20 years!
