American Traveler is hiring a travel MRI Technologist for a mobile MRI role at an outpatient clinic, requiring 2+ years of MRI experience and ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification.

Outpatient clinic setting in a mobile MRI unit
-
Skills utilized include general MRI exams, implants, elastography, defecography, breast MRI, and cardiac MRI
-
Primary equipment is Siemens MRI; Sectra and Epic experience preferred
-
Charting is performed in Epic
-
Schedule options include 5x8-hour shifts (12:30 PM–9:00 PM, Mon–Fri), with possible alternative schedules of 4x10s (10:30 AM–9:00 PM) or 3x12s (8:30 AM–9:00 PM)

Saturday coverage required approximately every other week (8:00 AM–4:00 PM), keeping total weekly hours at 40

No on-call requirement

Potential to float between two clinic locations

Minimum of 2 years of MRI Technologist experience

Current BLS (AHA) required

ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required; either specialty cert accepted

State license required if applicable

Proficiency with general MRI exams, implants, elastography, defecography, breast, and cardiac MRI

Experience with Siemens MRI equipment required

SSN and Driver's License required for consideration

2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Radiation badge must be provided by the candidate's agency prior to assignment start

Performs high-quality MRI examinations in accordance with established protocols across a broad range of patient populations for physician interpretation

Reports to the site supervisor and manager of radiology

Pre-start orientation modules are required and completed before the first day

First-time travelers are accepted for this position

Candidates who have previously worked as permanent staff or PRN at any facility within this health system must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler

All requested time off must be disclosed at the time of consideration; approval is based on manager and unit needs

Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized

Scrub colors are teal top and black pants

Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
