Civil Site Superintendent
Pay: $35–$45/hr DOE (or Salary DOE)
Overtime: 10–15 hours/week average + Large Annual Production Bonuses
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–5:00 PM (Paid Through Lunch) | Saturdays Optional
Full-Time | Permanent | Year-Round Work
We're Looking for a Superintendent Who Can Run the Entire Jobsite
We're hiring an experienced Civil Site Superintendent to oversee excavation, underground utility, grading, and site development projects from start to finish. This role is for someone who knows how to lead crews, maintain production, keep projects on budget, and ensure work is completed safely and correctly the first time.
The ideal candidate has experience supervising 10–25 person crews, understands underground utility installation and heavy equipment operations, and can confidently coordinate every phase of civil site construction.
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Lead multiple crews performing excavation, grading, storm drainage, water, sewer, and site development work
- Manage daily production while maintaining schedules, budgets, and quality standards
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Foremen, inspectors, subcontractors, and survey crews
- Read and interpret construction plans, utility profiles, grade stakes, and specifications
- Oversee excavation activities, utility installation, concrete work, and earthmoving operations
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety standards, and project specifications
- Hire, train, mentor, and develop field personnel while holding crews accountable
- Troubleshoot field issues and make decisions that keep projects moving efficiently
- Perform site inspections and maintain documentation, reporting, and daily communication with project teams
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience as a Superintendent overseeing civil site construction projects
- Experience managing 10–25 person field crews
- Strong background in excavation, grading, underground utilities, and site work
- Working knowledge of heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, and other earthmoving equipment
- Hands-on experience with pipe laying, concrete, or utility installation (doesn't have to be an expert in every trade)
- Experience managing project budgets, manpower, and production schedules
- Strong understanding of OSHA requirements, safety programs, and regulatory compliance
- Experience hiring, training, and developing field employees
- Ability to solve problems quickly and maintain productivity under changing site conditions
- Valid driver's license
