Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of food preparation, POS systems, inventory control, and staff management. This role requires a professional with a passion for hospitality, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage both front-of-house and kitchen operations to ensure an exceptional dining experience. The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for maintaining high standards of food safety, quality, and service while fostering a positive team environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring efficient and smooth service in both casual dining and quick-service settings.
- Manage staff scheduling, training, and development to promote a motivated and well-trained team.
- Utilize POS systems such as PosiTouch and Toast for order processing, cash handling, and sales reporting.
- Control inventory levels, order supplies, and manage food costs to optimize profitability.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations related to food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Conduct interviews for hiring new staff members and participate in staff performance evaluations.
- Manage shift operations including opening, closing, and ensuring adherence to operational procedures and manuals.
Qualifications
- Proven management experience within the food industry or hospitality sector; managerial experience is required.
- Some knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary practices, and kitchen management.
- Proficiency with POS systems such as PosiTouch and Toast; cash handling experience required.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and develop staff effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence.
- Ability to oversee shift management in a casual dining dining environment.
- Knowledge of restaurant management software and budgeting principles.
- Strong communication skills coupled with problem-solving abilities.
