Position Description:
Join a leading automotive manufacturing facility as an E-Coat Maintenance Technician, responsible for ensuring optimal operation and reliability of manufacturing equipment. Support continuous improvement initiatives, troubleshoot complex machinery, and maintain safety standards in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge automation and robotics, contributing to key production processes in a dynamic team setting.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment, automated machinery, and robotics to minimize downtime.
- Perform inspections, test machinery, dismantle defective units, and install or repair parts as needed.
- Maintain and troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic control systems, including motors, transformers, wiring, sensors, and PLC systems.
- Support safety procedures and protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE usage, and OSHA compliance.
- Maintain detailed repair documentation and collaborate with production teams to optimize equipment performance.
- Repair and maintain plant infrastructure, including pipe systems, gauges, valves, and facility structures.
- Assist in commissioning or upgrading automation systems and perform machining or fabrication tasks using machine tools, welding, or torch equipment.
- Wear all required PPE, adhere to safety policies, and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts and overtime as required.
Top Requirements:
- 2-year associate degree in a related field, Journeyman certification, or 4+ years of equivalent work experience in industrial maintenance.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience diagnosing and repairing industrial equipment, automated systems, and production machinery.
- Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems; PLC troubleshooting and programming skills are a plus.
