Our sports coaches teach the fundamentals of sports, with a progression of skills, drills, and gameplay throughout the season or program. Ensure that all players understand they are safe, valued, supported, and connected to the team, regardless of any differences they may have. Give all players a LOVE OF THE GAME that will spark an interest that will last a lifetime.
Our sports officials facilitate games while consistently applying the rules, promoting fair play, and demonstrating courtesy, self-control, integrity, and impartiality.
Employment Dates: Fall 2026 season runs 8/27-10/9; this includes staff training prior to league play.
There is potential to stay on staff for the following season, depending on performance.
Schedules: Hours available Mondays-Fridays, approx. 3:00–8:30 PM.
Coaching averages 3 hrs. per week per team. Officials average 3-5 hours for game days.
The number of participants in each sport determines the final schedule & staffing needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Coaches:
- Create a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for all participants
- Supervise players during practices, games, and transitions
- Communicate clearly and professionally with players, parents/guardians, and staff
- Arrive on time and prepare for all scheduled activities
Officials:
- Officiate games according to league rules and recreational guidelines
- Ensure a safe, fair, and positive playing environment for all participants
- Apply rules consistently and make impartial decisions
Who We're Looking For:
- Be able to provide a fun and positive recreational sports experience encompassing a "Love of the Game” philosophy
- Have passion and/or experience in working with youth
- Organizational skills to effectively email and communicate with players, parents, co-workers, the Coordinator, and the Supervisor.
Pre-Season Mandatory Trainings: All times will be confirmed after candidates are hired
- Human Resources Orientation (virtual)
- Youth Sports Orientation and Required Certifications (virtual)
- Additional in-person training will be emailed to you after your hiring.
Pay & Benefits:
Seasonal, $16.90 - $17.00/hr
Employees will recieve 40 hours of sick leave per year accrued at 2.8hrs per pay period. All unused hours are rolled over on January 1st up to a cap of 80 hours.
