Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with fueling their vehicles efficiently
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems to process retail sales transactions accurately
- Handle cash register operations, including cash handling and cash drawer management
- Provide product demos and upsell items such as snacks, beverages, or automotive accessories to enhance sales
- Stock shelves, maintain clean displays, and ensure merchandise is well-organized and appealing
- Enforce phone etiquette when answering inquiries or taking orders over the phone
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking supplies and conducting regular stock checks
- Deliver excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive experience
- Perform basic math calculations for transactions and sales totals with retail math proficiency
- Maintain safety standards at the fuel pumps and store area, adhering to all safety protocols
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems and cash register operations for seamless retail transactions
- Previous experience in grocery stores or retail environments is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge and merchandising techniques
