Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cosmetology Instructor to join our team. As a Cosmetology Instructor, you will have the opportunity to share your expertise and knowledge with aspiring high school students. This is a rewarding role where you will play a vital part in shaping the future of the beauty industry.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging and comprehensive cosmetology lessons to students
- Provide hands-on training in various cosmetology techniques, including hair styling, cutting, coloring, eyelash extensions, makeup application, and barbering
- Demonstrate proper techniques and ensure students understand and practice them correctly
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment for students
- Assess student progress through practical exams and written assignments
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to help students improve their skills
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to incorporate into the curriculum
- Collaborate with other instructors to develop new courses or update existing ones
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
Requirements:
- Valid cosmetology license
- Proven experience as a cosmetologist or cosmetology instructor
- Strong knowledge of cosmetology techniques and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively teach and engage students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles
- Patience and ability to provide constructive feedback in a supportive manner
- Strong organizational skills to manage lesson plans, assignments, and student records
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in high school or adult education or teaching is a plus
Qualifications: Interested applicants must hold a valid MN Cosmetologist Instructor & School Manager License (or the ability to obtain one). Applicants with high school teaching experience preferred, but not required.

Salary: Based on industry and teaching experience - Range $47,000 - $84,000
