Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join the team at Garth Animal Hospital, a brand-new, full-service veterinary clinic. We care for small animals (dogs, cats) as well as exotic and pocket pets. Our mission is to provide exceptional care for pets and their people in a welcoming, low-stress environment, following Fear Free principles.
Responsibilities
- Assist the veterinarian during examinations, treatments, and surgeries.
- Perform diagnostic tests (including lab work and radiographs) and prepare samples.
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and fluid therapy.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures.
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients about patient care and home instructions.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper stocking of exam and treatment areas.
- Safely handle and restrain dogs, cats, exotic pets, and small animals in a Fear Free manner.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician (1+ years preferred).
- Proficiency in common veterinary technical skills such as venipuncture, anesthesia monitoring, and dental prophylaxis (preferred).
- Comfort handling dogs, cats, exotic pets, and small animals with compassion and care.
- Ability to safely lift up to 55 lbs and assist with handling larger animals as needed.
- Positive attitude, reliability, and a team-first mindset.

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
