Position: Mechanical Superintendent

We’re excited to add a Mechanical Superintendent to lead field operations, mentor our team, and play a key role in growing our mechanical capabilities.
Position Summary:
The Mechanical Superintendent will oversee field execution of mechanical projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. This role will act as a key liaison between the office and the field, supporting project managers, foremen, and field staff while enforcing schedule, quality, and safety expectations. The ideal candidate has deep experience in commercial mechanical systems, strong leadership skills, and a passion for developing teams and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee field operations on mechanical projects from pre-construction through closeout
- Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors to meet project schedules
- Partner with Project Managers to ensure work aligns with budget, scope, and design intent
- Conduct jobsite visits and inspections to monitor quality, safety, and productivity
- Enforce company and OSHA safety standards; lead by example in promoting a safe work environment
- Serve as a mentor and resource to Foremen and Journeymen; assist in training and development
- Support startup and commissioning activities; troubleshoot issues and provide technical solutions
- Assist with mechanical estimating and constructability reviews when needed
- Help define and implement best practices for mechanical field operations as the department grows
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in commercial HVAC/mechanical work, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or superintendent role
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical systems, including piping, ductwork, hydronics, and controls
- Proven leadership ability and a track record of building high-performing teams
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and schedules
- OSHA 30 certification preferred (or ability to obtain)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to project sites

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
