We're looking for a Lead Forming Technician to join our Lead Forming Services team, processing high-value integrated circuits for customers across aerospace, defense, and semiconductor industries.
What You'll Do
- Perform incoming inspection of components, checking for lead skew or other deformity prior to processing
- Set up and operate lead forming machines/tooling to customer specifications and JEDEC/IPC/MIL-SPEC standard dimensions
- Perform hot solder dip (tinning) operations in accordance with IPC J-STD-001 requirements
- Carefully pack finished components using ESD-safe packaging and shipping matrix trays
- Maintain complete process documentation, including inspection reports and Certificates of Compliance
- Work within a controlled ESD-safe environment per ANSI/ESD S20.20 standards
What You'll Need
- Experience working in ESD-controlled environments handling static-sensitive electronic components
- IPC certification (J-STD-001 preferred) or working knowledge of IPC soldering/lead forming standards
- Experience with hot solder dip / tinning processes
- Strong attention to detail — you're working with high-value, high-reliability ICs where precision matters
- Ability to read and follow technical specifications, blueprints, or customer drawings
- Comfort with machine setup and operation for precision forming equipment
- Due to ITAR registration, applicants must meet U.S. export control eligibility requirements (U.S. citizen or permanent resident)
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with MIL-STD-883 or MIL-STD-750 testing/handling requirements
- Prior experience in semiconductor packaging, tinning, or lead forming specifically
