Electrical and Instrumentation Technician
Macon, GA
Currently seeking several E&I Technicians to join a major expanding company. By year-end they hope to hire 1,000 employees. The ideal candidate will possess at least 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
The successful candidates will have a "Can Do" attitude, are passionate about achieving results and driving improvement.
- Responsibilities
- Work with the Operating, Engineering & Maintenance teams to understand/scope out work requests
- Strong electrical aptitude and skills
- Repair of automation equipment including high speed servo drives and robotics
- Understanding of process and steam piping and its regulations
- Reading blue print and sketches proficiently to fabricate equipment and make modifications
- Manage employee and contractors for shutdowns and project work including periodic contact with vendors and suppliers for equipment information
- Responsible for installation, maintenance and repair of machinery, electrical and mechanical equipment
- Machine troubleshooting, repair, assembly, predictive and preventative maintenance
Qualifications:
- Electrical certification from a trade school, college, or formal technical education or work related experience
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, including experience working with tools and /or equipment
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment specifically pulp & paper industry is a plus
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Proficiency with computers and technology
- For Electricians and E&I Technicians control systems experience preferred
- Must be able to perform shift work on rotation which includes nights and weekends
