Description

Conduct administrative investigations of alleged violations of District policy and procedure; to include complaints involving alleged Title VII and Title IX violations, such as sexual harassment, sex discrimination, and gender-based discrimination by students and employees.

Act as a neutral investigator to ensure prompt, thorough, and impartial investigation of all cases.

Demonstrated knowledge of best practices and methodologies for conducting investigations, including interviewing, gathering and analyzing evidence, and writing investigation reports.

Create investigation plans, secure facts, and examine evidence to establish the extent of policy violations.

Conduct interviews with District personnel, students, complainants, respondents, alleged victims, and other witnesses.

Review, analyze, and apply District policy and codes of conduct to investigations and findings.

Ensure a well-documented investigation and create a comprehensive written investigative report that clearly identifies the issues investigated, relevant policies, and summarizes relevant evidence.

Exchange information with other PSO personnel, District personnel, and other law enforcement agencies, as appropriate.

Communicate regularly with team members and management to share information.

Participate in grievance hearings, Texas Education Agency hearings, and Title IX hearings.

Attend training and applicable professional development through organizations and agencies such as Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), Association of Workplace Investigators (AWI), ATIXA, and the EEOC.

Ensure compliance with District policy and administrative procedures.

Keep abreast of District policies and procedures relevant to assigned investigations.

As necessary, communicate with the Texas Education Agency and other school districts.

Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned.

All federally funded incumbents of this position must comply with time and effort reporting requirements through personnel activity reports or periodic certification, as appropriate.
