Responsibilities

- Support teachers and artists in lesson planning, classroom management, and delivering engaging instruction to students of all ages.
- Manage classroom logistics to ensure a safe, organized environment conducive to creative exploration and learning.
- Provide one-on-one tutoring or group support for students in various artistic disciplines such as early childhood education, preschool activities, special education needs, or adult education programs.
- Coordinate art projects and activities that incorporate skills like sewing, culinary arts, photography, or theater production.
- Assist with event setup for performances, exhibitions, or workshops; help manage schedules and participant coordination.
- Support behavior management strategies to foster positive classroom experiences and encourage childhood development through arts-based activities.
Skills
- Strong background in curriculum development across multiple art disciplines including visual arts, performing arts (theater, ballet), culinary arts, sewing, and dance.
- Experience teaching or tutoring children and adults in creative settings with excellent classroom management skills.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Ability to work effectively with children with special educational needs or behavioral challenges.
- Proficiency in photography or theater production is a plus; familiarity with culinary techniques or sewing is desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills for lesson planning and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
