Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
- Assist in menu planning and development, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, ovens, grills, and other cooking tools.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Participate in catering events as needed, providing high-quality food presentation and service.
- Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of food service operations within the food industry.
- Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations.
- Experience in menu planning and dietary aide responsibilities is preferred.
- Proficient in food preparation techniques, including knife skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

Under the administration of the Program Director and supervision of a Fully Qualified Preschool Teacher, a Preschool Assistant Teacher (or Classroom Aide) is responsible for the supervision and supportive management of a classroom in accordance with the philosophy, goals and curricular plan of Baby Yale Academy. A Preschool Assistant Teacher is responsible for assisting in development of monthly lesson plans, implementing activities on a daily basis including evaluating the effectiveness of activities, helping to create and maintain a classroom culture of health and safety, both physical and emotional, maintaining regular communication with supervisors and contributing to the overall effective operation of the child development program.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

∙ Assist with lesson planning;
∙ Assist with classroom schedule and room arrangement
∙ Identify barriers to learning and report to Teacher;
∙ Assist with family style food service;
∙ Maintain positive relationships with families, allowing Teacher to address concerns to parents;
∙ Promote feelings of trust and security in the program;
∙ Assist in completion of timely, neat, accurate documentation of infant daily sheets, toileting/diapering logs, assessments, screenings, attendance, inventory, temperature logs and other documentation that may be necessary for quality services;
∙ Keep classroom and hallway bulletin boards looking fresh and inviting;
∙ Simple daily housecleaning duties in each classroom;
∙ Understand and apply mission statement;
∙ Greet participants and guests warmly and enthusiastically each day;
∙ Maintain safe, clean environment, teaching and modeling good hygiene skills;
∙ Assist in implementation and planning of program events;
∙ Volunteer for at least 2 program events;
∙ Attend all staff meetings and trainings scheduled;
∙ Maintain confidentiality regarding all personal information regarding children, families and staff;
∙ Maintain a working knowledge of significant developments and trends in education; and

Minimum Qualifications:

- 6 Units in Child Development or ECE
- AB1207 Mandated Reporter Training Certificate
- Immunization Records for MMR, Tdap, and Influenza or letter declining the flu vaccine.
- Current TB Clearance, physical screening, and First Aid and CPR Certification.
- Active Fingerprint Clearance with DSS/CCL and/or submittal of Fingerprint Cards with signed Criminal record Statement prior to employment.
- Must possess California Driver’s License and meet minimum insurance requirements for personal vehicle and have a driving record which meets the standards set forth in applicable regulations
- Must meet education and experience requirements set forth in applicable regulations
