Duties
- Assist in providing technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues via help desk tickets or direct communication
- Troubleshoot software problems across operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux, ensuring quick resolution and minimal downtime
- Support the management of computer hardware assets, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals
- Aid in configuring and maintaining network components such as LANs (Local Area Networks), VPNs (Virtual Private Networks), firewalls, DNS (Domain Name System), and TCP/IP protocols
- Help monitor and support IT infrastructure tools like SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), GPO (Group Policy Objects), Active Directory, and BMC Remedy for incident tracking and system management
- Assist with network administration tasks using tools such as Meraki and ServiceNow to ensure optimal network performance and security
- Participate in routine maintenance activities including software updates, hardware upgrades, and system backups
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Basic understanding of computer hardware components and operating systems such as Windows Server, Microsoft Office Suite, macOS, Linux
- Familiarity with computer networking concepts including LAN/WAN architecture, TCP/IP protocols, DNS management, VPNs, firewalls, and network security best practices
- Experience with help desk support tools like Jira or ServiceNow is a plus
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users
- Demonstrated analysis skills for troubleshooting complex problems efficiently
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple tasks effectively
