Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to the menu specifications.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen.
- Completing opening and closing duties as assigned.
- Assist in menu planning and development to enhance guest dining experiences.
- Collaborate with front of house staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours.
- Manage inventory of kitchen supplies and ingredients effectively.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in culinary techniques and food preparation.
- Monitor food presentation to ensure it meets the hotel's standards of quality.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by fostering collaboration among staff.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
- Experience in menu planning is a plus but not required.
- Strong communication skills for effective teamwork within the kitchen.
