Dental Office Manager
Harrison Dental Group is currently looking for a driven and team-oriented dental office manager to oversee the daily operations. Harrison Dental Group has four locations and focuses on providing excellent care and customer service to a diverse patient population.
This position will assume responsibility for efficient staffing, scheduling models, helping patients at the front desk, setting office budgets, and leading the team to promote a well-organized dental office.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Guaranteeing office productivity, developing and managing all internal office procedures and practices.
- Oversee daily office activities and support and assist the dental staff when required.
- Maintaining the office cash control.
- Delivering direct individual and team leadership to ensure all office employees produce outstanding patient care.
- Coordinating the day-to-day execution of office practices that increase productivity and efficiency.
- Responding to clinical, operational, and maintenance issues promptly and professionally.
- Ensuring patients calls are answered and voicemails are responded to in a timely manner.
- Schedule, reschedule, or cancel appointments as needed.
- Preparing patients’ charts and daily schedules.
- May be required to verify patient insurance or submit prior authorizations.
- Oversee and track patient payment plans to ensure timely processing.
- Conduct daily team huddles to review the patient schedule and address any pertinent topics.
- Facilitate annual performance reviews for staff members to promote professional development.
- Manage the collection of patient out-of-pocket balances, ensuring timely follow-up on outstanding balances for prompt resolution.
- Address maintenance issues promptly and coordinate with the appropriate resources for resolution.
- Update patient records and document recent treatments and procedures.
- Verifying methods of payment and collecting co-insurance payments as needed.
- Attend mandatory meetings applicable to your job description.
- Comply with auditing procedures.
- Prepare and present Treatment Plans.
- Assist in training of new staff, remedial training of existing staff.
- Efficiently review patient insurance documents to determine the procedures that will be covered in addition to required deductibles.
- Ensure appointment cancellations and last-minute appointment requests are appropriately dealt with.
- Ensure that the office, including the waiting area and treatment rooms, is clean, comfortable, and appealing to patients.
- Review and approve vacations, sick leaves, and unpaid leaves for staff.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or relevant certification required
- Associates Degree preferred
- A minimum of 2 years of dental administration experience
- Solid understanding of dental billing and insurance procedures
- Previous dental experience is preferred
